Josh Wright is a British photographer and artist living and working in London.
His most ambitious project to-date A Portrait of an Artist by a Young Man featured a series of one hundred studio portraits of the most compelling emerging and established British artists working today. The project began when Wright was just 16 years old and grew from a novel idea to an expansive collection of photographs. Upon completing the project, the collection of photographs were acquired by the Tate's archive. Two of these portraits of the Scottish artists, Jim Lambie and Martin Boyce, were acquired by the National Portrait Gallery, London.
